Personal Injury Attorney J.D. Smith has offered representation to injury victims for more than 25 years. He has practiced law in several prominent firms, developing his legal knowledge in civil defense and insurance adjustment/claims before honing his skills as an injury litigator. His focus is serious personal injury, wrongful death cases, and risk management.

Prior to and during law school J.D. worked as a claims adjuster and underwriter. It was a natural transition for him to practice law in the personal injury area. He is passionate about working with children and supporting local arts. J.D. is a former member of the ABA House of Delegates and a former President of the WSBA Young Lawyers Division.

Attorney Smith has secured favorable and substantial settlements on behalf of his clients, including jury verdicts for motorcycle, trucking, and car accident cases that are among some of the largest verdicts of their kind in Washington. He has also secured several seven-figure settlements and to date, he has tried 58 civil jury trials to verdict.
